Les investigations menées en Suisse par la Police cantonale vaudoise et la Police cantonale fribourgeoise ont permis d'établir qu'il n'y a aucun lien entre le père des jumelles et la jeune femme disparue à Montbovon. Bien que n'ayant aucune preuve formelle de la présence des jumelles à bord du bateau, les enquêteurs privilégient toujours la piste Corse sans pouvoir écarter les autres hypothèses.
Les enquêtes menées tant par la Police cantonale vaudoise que par la Police cantonale fribourgeoise n'ont pas mis en évidence de lien entre l'affaire GEMELLE et la disparition de Madame Katia IRITANO à Montbovon le 25 janvier dernier. Les mesures techniques ordonnées par le procureur Gilliéron ont permis d'établir qu'il n'y avait jamais eu de contact téléphonique entre le père des jumelles et Mme IRITANO. Cette piste peut donc être définitivement écartée par les autorités de poursuite pénale.
Les examens scientifiques effectués sur les objets prélevés au domicile du père des jumelles n'ont pas révélé la présence d'une quelconque substance toxique ou létale ingérée par les fillettes à la villa de St-Sulpice. Des investigations sont en cours concernant l'absence de valises et de sacs appartenant au père des jumelles. Un témoignage crédible, enregistré au début de l'enquête, indique la présence du père des jumelles à Préverenges le dimanche 30 janvier vers 15h30 à bord de sa voiture dans laquelle se trouvaient également les deux fillettes. A ce stade de l'enquête, la piste Corse reste privilégiée, mais en l'absence de preuve formelle, toutes les autres hypothèses sont également examinées par les policiers suisses, français et italiens. Les investigations se poursuivent afin d'établir l'emploi du temps du père, ainsi que son parcours entre la Suisse et Marseille notamment.
L'appel à témoin lancé il y a une semaine concernant la présence éventuelle d'un autre véhicule à plaques suisses en Corse au début février n'a pas donné de résultats pour l'instant. Cette piste est toujours envisagée. Ce véhicule, une grosse voiture, vraisemblablement de type break, de couleur foncée et immatriculé en Suisse ressemblait à celui (Audi A6 avant break noire) conduit par le père des jumelles. Ces deux berlines pourraient avoir été confondues par les témoins. Les personnes s'étant trouvées en Corse durant la période en question et dont le véhicule ressemble à celui du père des jumelles sont priées de prendre contact avec la Police cantonale vaudoise ou la police française.
Les enquêteurs comptent encore sur les indications provenant de témoins éventuels tant à Toulon, à Marseille qu'en Corse et en Suisse. Les personnes pouvant donner des indications sur la présence en Corse d'un autre véhicule foncé immatriculé en Suisse sont priées de s'adresser au commissariat ou au poste de gendarmerie le plus proche ou d'appeler la hotline en Suisse +41 21 644 82 31 ou le numéro vert en France 08 05 01 07 07.

Le indagini svolte in Svizzera dalla Polizia cantonale vodese e dalla Polizia cantonale friborghese hanno permesso di stabilire che non vi é alcun legame tra il padre delle gemelle e la giovane donna scomparsa a Montbovon. Nonostante non vi sia alcuna prova formale della presenza delle gemelle a bordo del battello, gli inquirenti privilegiano tuttora la pista della Corsica senza scartare le altre ipotesi.
Le indagini svolte sia dalla Polizia cantonale vodese che dalla Polizia cantonale friborghese non hanno permesso di mettere in evidenza un nesso tra il caso GEMELLE e la scomparsa della Signora Katia IRITANO, avvenuta a Montbovon il 25 gennaio scorso. Gli accertamenti tecnici ordinati dal procuratore Gilliéron hanno stabilito che non vi é mai stato un contatto telefonico tra il padre delle gemelle e la Signora IRITANO. Questa pista può dunque essere definitivamente scartata dalle autorità di perseguimento penale.
Le analisi scientifiche effettuate sugli oggetti prelevati al domicilio del padre delle gemelle non hanno evidenziato alcuna sostanza tossica o letale ingerita dalle bambine nella villa di St-Sulpice. Delle indagini sono in corso per quello che concerne l'assenza di valigie e di borse appartenenti al padre delle gemelle. Una testimonianza credibile, registrata all'inizio dell'inchiesta, indica la presenza del padre delle gemelle a Préverenges la domenica 30 gennaio verso le 15h30, a bordo della sua vettura, nella quale si trovavano anche le due bambine. A questo stadio dell'inchiesta, la pista della Corsica rimane privilegiata, ma nell'assenza di prove formali, tutte le altre ipotesi sono anch'esse esaminate dagli agenti di polizia svizzeri, francesi e italiani. Le indagini continuano per stabilire, da una parte come il padre abbia impiegato il suo tempo, dall'altra il suo percorso tra la Svizzera e Marsiglia.
L'appello lanciato una settimana fa, alla ricerca di testimonianze concernenti l'eventuale presenza in Corsica, all'inizio di febbraio, di un altro veicolo con targhe svizzere, non ha dato per il momento alcun esito. Questa pista é tuttora tenuta in considerazione. Questo veicolo, una macchina grande, verosimilmente di tipo break, di colore scuro e immatricolata in Svizzera, assomigliava a quello guidato dal padre delle gemelle (una Audi A6 avant break, di colore nero). Queste due vetture potrebbero essere state confuse dai testimoni. Le persone che si trovavano in Corsica durante il periodo in questione e il cui veicolo assomiglia a quello del padre delle gemelle, sono pregate di contattare la Polizia cantonale vodese o la Polizia francese.
Gli inquirenti contano ancora sulle indicazioni provenienti da eventuali testimoni a Tolone, a Marsiglia, in Corsica ed in Svizzera. Le persone che potrebbero fornire delle indicazioni sulla presenza in Corsica di un altro veicolo scuro immatricolato in Svizzera, sono pregate di rivolgersi al posto di polizia più vicino o di chiamare la hotline in Svizzera +41 21 644 82 31 o il numero verde in Francia 08 05 01 07 07.

Investigations carried out in Switzerland by Canton Vaud Police and Canton Fribourg Police have established that no link ties together the father of the twins and a young woman who disappeared from Montbovon. Since there is no formal proof that the twins were on the boat to Corsica, investigators are giving the most weight to the Corsica trail, but without rejecting other hypotheses.
Investigations carried out by Canton Vaud Police and Canton Fribourg Police have not turned up any evidence of a link between the GEMELLE case of the missing twins and the disappearance of Ms Katia Iritano from Montbovon last 25 January. Technical operations ordered by public prosecutor Gilliéron have established that there was never any telephone contact between the father of the twins and Ms Iritano. This trail has therefore been set aside definitively by the authorities in the criminal investigation case.
Scientific examinations carried out on ojbects taken from the father’s residence have not shown the presence of sleeping tablets or toxic products that might offer evidence that the little girls were killed in the house. Investigations are continuing into the absence of suitcases and bags that belonged to the twins’ father. A credible witness, who came forward at the start of the investigation, showed that the father of the twins was in his car at the beach in Préverenges, near Morges, Sunday 30 January about 15 :30, with the girls. At this stage in the investigation, the Corsica trail remains the one to which the most weight is being given, but in the absence of any formal proof, all other hypotheses are also being examined by police in Switzerland, France and Italy. Investigators are trying to establish the father’s whereabouts and what he was doing, in particular between Switzerland and Marseille.
The call for witnesses last week, concerning the possible presence of a second vehicle with Swiss plates in Corsica at the start of February has not turned up any information for the time being. This trail remains valuable: the vehicle, a large car, apparently a dark colour station wagon with Swiss plates, resembled that driven by the father of the twins (Audi A6 black station wagon). These two family cars may have been confused by witnesses. Anyone who was driving in Corsica during the period in question is asked to contact French police or Canton Vaud Police.
Investigators continue to count on information provided by any possible witnesses, in Toulon, Marseille, Corsica and Switzerland. Anyone who can provide any information about the presence in Corsica of another dark vehicle with Swiss license plates is asked to contact the police commissariat or the nearest police station, or to telephone the Swiss hotline +41 21 644 82 31 or the French numéro vert 08 05 01 07 07.
